• Cashmere wool comes from the cashmere goat, not the sheep. These goats come mostly from the Himalayas, where the wool is collected from the super-soft coat, fine, soft and hypo-allergenic. That happens only once a year, so the supply is very limited making cashmere a very valuable fiber.
