High-quality flat soles are made from a vegan-friendly durable rubber. Fabulously fun woven stretch-to-fit straps are made with premium nylon specifically designed to reduce rubbing and blisters. No, these are not natural fibers but are comfy, designed to last and you can wash them with soap and water (do not put in the Plakawashing machine though). The straps eventually loosen up a little as you wear them so they are not too tight.
